Vincent Monaco

Vincent Monaco, trumpet, retired in 2023 after 39 years with the Music Faculty at Phillips Academy in Andover, MA.  He previously taught at Indian River Community College in Fort Pierce, Fla., and Keene State College, Keene, N.H.

He has played for The Handel and Haydn Society, Boston Baroque, The Academy of Ancient Music, the Orchestra at Emmanuel Church, Cantata Singers, Boston Cecelia, Arcadia Players, Exultemus, Trinity Church, Harvard University, Yale University and l’Orchestra Sinfonica di Firenze, among others.

He is a recipient of the Distinguished Teacher Award from the U.S. Dept. of Education Presidential Scholars Program(2001).

He holds a Bachelor of Music degree from UMass, Amherst, a Master of Music (performance) degree from Boston University, is a first-generation teacher of the Caruso Method and is an ATI Certified Instructor of Alexander Technique.
