Sally Merriman

Sally Merriman is a freelance bassoonist based in the Boston area and enjoys

performing with a wide range of chamber and orchestral ensembles on modern and

historical instruments. Originally from Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Sally received her

Bachelor of Music degree from the North Carolina School of the Arts and continued her

studies at the Juilliard School. In addition to performing, she teaches, is the

administrator for Amherst Early Music, enjoys reading, going to the gym, and hanging

out with her husband Chris and their two cats at home in Somerville, MA.
