He moved to Maine after completing his PhD in musicology at Duke University, where he studied the acoustical construction of St Paul’s Cathedral, London, and its political significance in the seventeenth century. His current work focuses on the broad concepts of acoustic space and place in early New England.
Nick works for the Bowdoin International Music Festival and the Yale Journal of Music & Religion, and is pleased to serve as a board member for Aurora Camerata. He lives in Portland, and can often be found in the choir loft of St Mary’s in Falmouth.
