David Myers, Jr.
Praised for his “beautifully polished tone” and “attractive tenor sound” (Portland Press Herald), David Myers, Jr. performs as a professional tenor with Aurora Camerata (formerly St. Mary Schola) and Amethyst Chamber Ensemble, and is regularly featured as a soloist with Maine-based choral groups including Down East Singers, Lincoln Festival Chorus, Sheepscot Valley Chorus, and St. Cecilia Chamber Choir. He most recently made his North Star Baroque debut as the Narrator in J. S. Bach’s “Coffee Cantata”. David serves as the music director at North Yarmouth Congregational Church where he also operates a private voice studio. He holds a Master’s Degree in vocal pedagogy from the School of Music at the University of Southern Maine where he studied with the late esteemed soprano Ellen Chickering. David is an active member of ACDA, NAfME, and NATS, and is thrilled to be the new Worship R&R Chair of the Maine ACDA Board.
