Nicola Rabata

Flautist Nicole Rabata is widely recognized for her captivating and engaging performances as a soloist and chamber musician on both modern and historical flutes.

A Trevor James Flutes performing artist, she has appeared with critical acclaim at festivals and concert halls internationally. Notable appearances include the International Flute Festival of Lund and Magic Flute Festival of Stockholm, Festival Interceltique du L’Orient; Hebridean Music Festival; International World of Music and Dance Festival in the UK; and residencies in Kalimpong, India and Interharmony International Music Festivals in Italy and Germany.

A Music Associate at Colby College for two decades, Ms. Rabata has appeared in the United States at the National Flute Conventions in San Diego, New York, and Phoenix. She has performed at the Portland Chamber Music Festival, Blue Hill Bach, White Mountain Bach Festival, Portland Bach Experience, and Acadia Festival of Traditional Music and Arts. She appears with North Star Baroque, Portland Ballet, Maine State Ballet, Opera Maine, Aurora Camerata and Bangor Symphony Orchestra. Taking a special interest in early music, she performs on a Baroque flute by Wenner after Palanca.
